Investigations according to QS feed monitoring

QS feed monitoring focuses on consistent feed control with the aim of introducing high-quality feed into the food chain. Feedstuffs that comply with guideline and limit values for contaminants and undesirable substances such as mold toxins (mycotoxins), dioxins, pesticides and heavy metals as well as pathogens such as salmonella contribute to animal health and the quality of animal products.

Feed manufacturers, traders as well as farms with farm-produced feed participate in QS feed monitoring. SGS has QS-approved laboratories.

Our services in QS feed monitoring

We examine all feedstuffs according to QS feedstuff monitoring (mixed feedstuffs, own mixtures, premixtures, additives) for these parameters:

  • Mycotoxins (ZEA, DON, OTA, Aflatoxin B)
  • dioxins, PCB, PAH
  • Pesticides (multi-method)
  • Heavy metals (As, Pb, Cd, Hg, Ni)
  • veterinary drugs (antibiotics, coccidiostats) by HPLC-MS/MS
  • animal ingredients
